Question

When I run apps that have scroll buttons on the bottom right of the screen, eg address list, I find that I can start the calculator far too easily by mistake. It seems that the "calculator area" extends about 1/8" above the top of the calculator button. The same applies to the "home" or apps button.

Is this a design flaw or a problem with my unit? Any suggestions?

I've tried the digitizer under prefs several times but that doesnt seem to make a difference. Its annoying when I start the calculator by mistake!

While on that subject, if you start a new task in error, is there any way to go back, like the back button in a browser to go back to where you were?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Talking

I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy for a while. However, after a few weeks of learning it now rarely happens. So, hopefully the same will happen with you!!!

This has been discussed in other posts, but here goes again. Go to the Prefs application and choose Digitizer. When the digitizer spot comes up in the lower right corner, tap ever so slightly under the middle. This will trick the screen into letting you tap the down arrow without starting up Calculator. Apparently, this is a problem with all of the Palm devices.

Jay

keithaustx:

I believe SwitchHack allows you to define a pen swipe that will toggle you back to your most recently used application. I understand it's very similar to the AltTab combination on your PC. Get it at www.palmgear.com
