Question

Has anyone called Handspring yet, to determine whether or not the colored Visors come with an Ice colored cradle? On their web page they have both the serial and USB cradles in Ice color, and since I ordered both (without being asked what color I would
like them in) I'm curious... I figured I already used up my weekly phone call to Handspring, so I'll let someone else ask, and save them 100 phone calls on the same subject.

Lightbulb

I read in an article reviewing the visor, I think it was off PalmHQ somewhere, that there were Ice colored cradles. Wether they are going with Ice color for all of the colored visors, or if the cradle matches the machine is still a mystery...

When I spoke with one of the "highly vaunted, but much maligned" CSRs this afternoon, she said that the colored Deluxes *do* ship with ice-colored cradles. I would definitely make sure that they know that's what you want...they sounded busier than the proverbial "one-armed paper hangers" and it would stink to get the blue Deluxe with the "color-coordinated" Graphite cradle because you assumed they knew what you wanted. (_Should_ be obvious, but it's an imperfect world! :-) )

From what I saw on the HS site, Visor Deluxes besides the Graphite model will come with the Ice cradle.

Wink

Why aren't they offering plain ole beige cradles, hmm? Tell me that.

If I can't get a blue cradle to go with a blue visor, I'd rather have boring old beige. Funk-value of an ice cradle aside, I'd prefer colour coordination on my desk (which won't be home to my PDA 99% of the time) if I can't have it between cradle and visor!

True, I could junk my Dell and upgrade to some sort of Ice'ish iMac, but that would be carrying things to extremes.

merry,

the cradles for the color Deluxes come in ice beacuse the back of all of the Visors (except the black one) are in ice. only the faceplate on the Visor Deluxe are in different colors.

so actually, ice goes with all of the color Visor Deluxes.

But not with beige...Heh. The Dell has to go.

Thanks for the tip, sluggo--I hadn't noticed the two-tone thing from the photographs.

no prob.

don't worry about the beige w/ the ice cradle. the computer color coordination police don't get around much.

Hee! I hope you're right. I wouldn't be inviting them to the bedroom, though (which is where the computer presently resides).
