Question

So, for all the whining I have seen from the people who have ordered/recieved their Visors, I am myet to see any information regarding the ability to use the Visor outside of North America.
Could someone please tell me if I was to 'acquire' a U.S. visor, could it be 'tailored' (change data format, use power adaptor) for use in New Zealand (!) or Australia ? Or are there features in the OS that are inherently American ? (And yes we do have 3com Palm's in New Zealand)

Thanks

Chris

Lightbulb

No-one has replied yet, so maybe more infomation is needed.

I am being trained for 3 months in Tampa, Florida in February and was thinking about buying a Visor once I got to America.

Is this a good idea, or should I be buying it in New Zealand before I leave ?

Thanks

Chris

Other than any spelling differences, I don't think so, and I don't see any reason you'd need a power adapter as the Visor takes AAA batteries. What do you mean by "change data format"? BTW, my Visor was billed as "VISOR DELUXE, INT'L ENG. GRAPHITE".

Manta,
I'm using mine in the UK, I get the euro signs and all that. as for power adapters it uses batteries so that's not a problem.

? Does OS 3.1 support Euro? I though only 3.3 can do that?

hiphop,

remember that Handsping uses an updated version of OS 3.1...

Hey since they jumped from 3.1 to 3.3 why not call the OS on the Visor 3.2??

Thanks guys ...
change data ... I meant to write change date ... but if someone is using one in the UK I should be ok.
Is there not a power source needed for the hot-sync cradle ?

You can change the date format, and there are presets for 24 countries. There is no power source for the cradle, you just plug it into a USB or serial port.
