Blackberry RIM 850 vs Motorola T900 help

BTW, I'm a VDX user with Visorphone. :-)
I recently got a T900 with Skytel service to help communicate with employees better. I also like the pager feature. Recently we've had a lapse in the network where I'm not able to send out message or I receive garbled messages. Reliability is important. I'm now trying to compare other solutions.
The T900 and Rim 850 are relatively inexpensive (<$100), and I like that (otherwise I would have gotten the Treo). Service is between $30-$50/month, so that is reasonable too.
Does anyone have experience with the T900 and the RIM 850? I know the RIM 850 has a better receiver/transmitter. Does it works better than the T900 for 2 way messaging and paging?
