While I'm thinking of it, Toby, would you espouse the virtues of boxers to the assembled on My behalf?

What does that have to do with anything? I don't own a Mercedes either, but I can tell you that it's a much nicer vehicle than what I'm currently driving.

Nah...you were an idiot for getting an Edge and trying to stick with it as long as you did. ;~~~

Angry No Treo in Maine!!!

All this talk of why the treo is not doing as well as it should sales-wise......The network leaves many parts of the country without service! There is NO - I mean NO - offering for coverage in Maine. So, guess I won't be buying one anytime soon.... I would otherwise, but they won't LET me!

But I could not make such a subjective claim on your behalf. Not really sure what that has to do with, either, but it sounded antagonistic. Do you yield?

It's like gambling, "The next one will be a winner." Not trying to excuse the behavior, just explain it (rather brings the creation of humanity into focus, wouldn't you say?). Something within me knew that was going to be my last handspring pda for a while. If the feature set on the color handera is what it should be (16MB with 66MHz), it'll be a while longer. My wife will enjoy the treo 90 at least.

Yes, quite. Thank you.

It isn't a subjective claim. I'm sure I can come up with objective measures such as service histories, defect rates, etc. that will demonstrate it.

Coming from an English major, I consider that high praise.

At least he caught the duality of the term 'pedestrian.'

Oh Christ, not us three at it again.

Since I addressed Christ and wasn't speaking to myself, I must be the spook. Say, Toby, I gotta a bunch of city water here, would you be a peach and hook me up with something a little more...festive?

"It isn't a subjective claim. I'm sure I can come up with objective measures such as service histories, defect rates, etc. that will demonstrate it."

Actually Mercedes Benz are poop. They're better than Fords, but they're still poop. They just have good PR (something HS should look into) here in the US, Comes from only selling your more expensive cars in a market.

The vehicle that you do drive comes from the most efficient auto factory in North America eight years running (The Harbour Report). Those Tennessee boys (and girls) know what they're doing.

Effecient= productivity, vehicle production time, less defects and returns, etc.

Now if you define "nicer" as having more luxury (real Corinthian leather!), amenities, and/or standard features I will concede that point. Just wait until you pay $300-400 to service a check engine light, or $120 for an oil change though!

Then you'll be saying some nice cuss words!

The ones that the big bosses owned when I used to work summer here in the wash rack weren't nothing to sneeze at.

Then somebody must have broken into the factory and put together my truck. It has been the worst Nissan experience I've ever had (it's my third). It took me over a month to get a replacement glove box when the latch on mine broke. I've had a problem with a belt on the A/C slipping ever since it was purchased. Now, maybe the dealer is a problem, but I never had these problems previously.

Except for the 96.5 and 97 model trucks it seems.

Well, that was mainly what I was referring to, but I'm rather annoyed at my truck in general lately.

Well, my oil changes are usually $10, so that's not an issue, but AAMOF, I _have_ paid $300 for a check engine light on my truck.

I thought he was referring to the handera. Say, "La Vee."

Bingo! The idea of shelling out the kind of cash they want for a non-upgradeable, expandable or backup-able device, with only one local carrier - whose service plans suck - is why I won't get one. It would suit me very well and I would LOVE to have one, but I'm not going there... not at that price, with those features and with limited service choices.

My Nokia and Prism/Minstrel S combo are serving me fine!

HS is Toast

Read and weep HS defenders. No more springboard slot, just a ***** memory slot. HS is gone in less than say 2 years. Want to know why, easy, market is going down like lead bathtub, world on the brink of "limited" nuclear war. Oh goody. The market will shake it self again very shortly and the fallout (pun intended) will be more than a little bad.
http://msnbc-cnet.com.com/2100-1040-929880.html

Pardon my negativity but with the Paki's and Indians involved it could be bad. Really damn bad. They have never gotten along with each other EVER and I think they looking for an excuse to finish it.

Now for what really bothers me.

Oh well, it's almost time to switch. Too bad HP offed their handhelds. Compaqs are ok just the company is messed up BIG TIME with us. No more Compaqs, just Dells and god forbid IBM's. Email me for a unusual horror story about Compaq.

I'm sorry, PDA phones don't do it for anyone. Too expensive, limited to what they can do. people want real expanability, 80211, bluetooth, some kind of long distance that works more than twice (or stays in business more than a year). I want the PDA they used in Sum of All Fears. Nothing else. No weird hacks to get more memory, no more fly by night companies that make useless or unusable accessories (read springboards). Just plain old connectivity. I should have seen the writing on the wall a while ago.
