hand-me-down

My daughter discarded her Visor... and handed it down to me. I'm up a creek without software and am not even sure which model I have. I believe it is a PRO.

2 questions:
1. How do I determine the model?
2. Any recommendations on where or what software could be obtained so I can begin use of the Visor?

To determine which Visor you have, first does it use AA batteries or does it have an internal battery? The Visor, Deluxe, Platinum, Neo's had AA Batteries and the Edge, Prism, and Pro used internals. If it's monochrome, uses an internal battery and is similar in looks to the deluxe then it is a Pro. If it uses AA Batteries then look to see what OS it is running and then you can determine which it is.

You can download the software at Palm.com look for Owner Resources -> My Model and from there you will be able to download the desktop software and any patches the device had. You will need your serial number from the back of the battery cover or back of the device depending on which model you have.
