I've heard alot of people complaining that they don't want a smaller Visor. Sure, it would be nice to have more features, but for me, small is where it's at. I'm pretty active, doing breakdancing, basketball, hiking and all sorts of stuff, and my Visor definitely gets in the way. I'd love to have it with me all the time, it really helps me in life. The fact is, it's too big for me. I'm not saying I want my PDA to be the size of a penny, but something I can put in my pocket without noticing it's there, would be nice. And I do use the Spring Board slot alot, so the Palm Vx (or m500/505) is not for me. The Visor Edge is starting to sound really good .
What would really solve alot of my problems, would be a rugged module that fits flush in the Visor and has it's own LCD and a couple navigation buttons, so that when I want to do something active, I can slap out the module and leave the Visor behind, while still carrying all my important info (memos, addresses, alarms, etc.) with me on the module. It would even be cool if I could take notes on the module, so that when I slap it back in the Visor, I've got my new notes/contacts on there. I heard Xircom is working on such a module, but I haven't heard much about it for a long time. Anybody know if it's been discontinued? I'd buy one up in a snap...
Anyways, for me, small can't go wrong, and if it means leaving the spring port at home, so I can bring a smaller tool (Visor Edge) with me on the go, so be it.
Or wouldn't it be cool if the spring port sled itself had it's own LCD... now that could be cool.
