Is there a specific kind of vinyl i should be looking for at Wal-mart/Jo-Anns fabrics or is it basically good old, plain clear vinyl... i ask this question because i ventured over to my local Wal-mart to buy some vinyl; they had 2 thickness, one was pretty thick and didnt look like it would work, but the other (labelled medium) looked like a winner. Well, since i knew (still dont know anything) nothing about vinyl, i went to go ask a salesperson in the fabrics department, uh.. "will this stick to glass/windows with static cling like saran wrap?".. she told me no.. Either she doesnt know what she's talking about, or im just plain dumb. anyways, id appreciate any help. im getting kinda tired of the dull look of my visor with these writerights on it. i want that nice, clear, shiny, "it doesnt look like im using screen protection" look and feel. again, id appreciate all the help i can..

Cool

Yes, the plain clear one is what you need. (In Jo-Ann there is also a kind of Iron-On vinyl which is sold in a roll for about $6, that is NOT the right one). Don't go for the very thick one, it won't cling to the screen well. As for how the vinyl clings to the screen, it's partly because of static electricity, and mostly because of air pressure.

Cool

My pleasure.

I even didn't find it in wal-mart although the staff there told me it might be in some place. I got mine in Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts. You can buy ANY amount you want. I bought 1 foot for less than 90 cents. You can refer to another post by me for more information.
