E-Ink is a revoutionary techology in development that would lead to displays that are thinner, brighter, and less power consuming that the standard liquid crystal displays.

Eventually, electronic ink will probably replace a lot of our display technologies. I think they have even started using low-res versions as in-store displays. It's surprising how fast the technology is advancing.
