Question Fastest launcher with Memplug?

So what is the fastest app launcher when using the Memplug? I have the newest verison of the Memplug update (1.6) with the regged version of PiDirect, and am using a Prism. I have tried the default launcher, Launcher III beta, Launch'Em 3, GoBar 2.51, and Chromacast/Silverscreen. I am having a hard time telling which accesses apps and displays info the fastest - any opinions out there?

I am satisfied with the speed of my *Prism* and the apps when they are running. However, the app launchers are pretty slow in displaying the app icons, etc., especially now since the regged PiDirect is in full swing. I was just wondering if there was an app launcher out there that seemed to be faster than the others in displaying all the icons, switching between tabs/categories/etc., when PiDirect is in use... Once an app is run, it runs just fine. It's just the app launchers that seem slow.

Launcher III just keeps getting better and better. The latest beta (3) is faster than the last. I've used a few others but before MemPlug and I liked the interface and usability of Launcher III best. So (IMHO)

I agree so far. It definitely does seem the best and fastest. It doesn't hurt that it seems to be the only one that DOES NOT crash when PiDirect is enabled. All the others seem to crash fairly frequently when PiDirect is enabled. I just wish Bozidar would add a little more color capability to LIII! I like eye candy, and wish I could set different colors for each tab (a'la Launch'Em). i also wish the borders and frames had a little more 3d-ish look/depth to them (rather than just straight black lines).

I'm sure he'll get around to it....

Kick The Tire, Lite The Fire

You can safely run Afterburner and increase CPU clock to 42mhz and any launcher will run much faster. I use Launcher III v2.2 (not Beta) and it works fine.

Umm, at the beta site for Launcher III. I don't have the url, just go the whatever site is listed in the readme that came with Launcher and the site has a link to their beta site. You can download directly from there.
