Smile Handcam w/ Virtual PC v3.0

FYI, I was able to get pics out of the handcam using the vpc software on an iMac. Installed the palm desktop software, then the targus handcam software. Hotsynced, and the pics were in the targus handcam folder. Dragged and dropped them into the share directory, shut down vpc and viewed them on the iMac. I've attached a Christmas morning pic.

Out of curiosity, I took apart the handcam with my trusty visor stylus screwdriver. There are three chips: the ccd chip, signal processor, and the flash memory chip. The lens assembly is glued onto the ccd chip. Xirlink makes the signal processor chip. I looked on Xirlink's ......extremely ........slow web site but didn't see a reference to Targus. I think that the handcam is based on their xvp-69 dual mode imaging device.

Thanks for posting the pic. It looks a lot like the quality of the eyemodule2.

SI that attched picture raw or is it edited. the quality of the picture is unbelievable for a module cam this cheap.
