Question

When syncing my Visor with Outlook today I got the following error:

--------------------------------
Communication Failure (4006,80040107): The client operation failed.
There are more records in Outlook than in your Handheld. Please re-sync to attempt recovery.
Outlook = 416, PalmPilot = 413
--------------------------------

Anyone encounter this problem before? Any suggestions? I did 're-sync' but got the same error.

I am using Outlook 2000 on Win 2000.

Thanks

VisorHead

Go over to Pimlico Software and get a copy of dbScan if you don't already have it. One of the apps options will scan your datebook database and should help identify the offending records which can then be deleted or modified as appropriate.

I seem to see this particular error message regularly since I upgraded to PocketMirror Standard 3.0. I'm also running Outlook 2000.

I normally have to do a "Outlook overwrites Handheld" sync to get Outlook and Visor back in sync.

Pimlico's dbScan has never found any problem with my Datebook.

Thumbs up

MarkEagle, I ran DBScan but it did not identify any errors.
Kalahari, I followed your suggestion and did an "Outlook overwrites Handheld" sync. That seemed to have taken care of the problem. At least for now!
Thank you for your responses and suggestions.
