I've been following the discussions on software for the Magellan GPS and the consensus seems to be that the the Map Companion that comes with the unit is as good as any out there. In my opinion it has a significant problem since I'm a fisherman and I want to find streams and rivers. I contacted Marcosoft and got a very unsimpathetic response that that would only make the maps take more space so they have no plans to add bodies of water. Does anyone have any recommendations on software that has streams and rivers and works with the GPS companion?

Maps with water

The two types of maps that show detailed water are topographical maps(land) and marine nautical charts(water).
As far as topographical maps go, Delorme (www.delorme.com) has several different types that would work with Solus Pro 2.0. (not that I would recommend that program but if you have no other choice!). There are numerous nautical charts available for computers but I do not know if they are downloadable to a Visor. If anyone knows about nautical charts, I would also be interested.
