MultiMedia Center

I would like to make a MultiMedia Center in my home that will include a kick-butt PC as it's hub.

I would like to use the PC as a PC, DVD Player, CD Player, Radio, and maybe even an answering machine. I would also use it to record TV shows via TiVo like functionality in Sony's GigaTV, etc.
I would purchase a wireless keyboard and mouse as well.

Is there any way to connect my PC to a TV to use my 27" TV as my primary monitor where I can stll get decent resolution?

Will a simple S-Video Cable accomplish this?

Any ideas are welcome?

If your Video card has a TV out you can make that work, however the resolution will be limited to what your TV can handle.. which is roughly 640x480 (check the NTSC/PAL specs for details...)

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
