I like that interview a lot .. Donna makes it sound like Palm & Handspring are more like partners than competitors (which is definitely a good thing) and that there is a great future of new development happening at Handspring..
One thing that kinda interests me, however, is what seems to be an apparent lack of concern for the corporate market.. While there might not be a lot of centralized IT deployment of handhelds, I definitely see this becoming a greater possibility as the devices get more powerful -- Given the "whole family of products" that Donna talks about at the end of the interview, I would imagine that there will be devices in R&D that are at the same level as a Pocket PC unit (hardwarewise) and after that can get coupled with a cellphone, these devices would be deployed by IT like hotcakes (data, video (?), voice all in one gadget, easy to use and heck, sync'd anywhere/anytime with the centralized IT infrastructure..) -- If I was handspring I think I'd be really focusing on seeing what corporate customers want in these devices and become a leader in the market..
Still nice to see the upbeat tone of this interview ..
