help with avantgo over network hotsync using desktop 4.01

I've installed handspring's desktop 4.01 on my primary PC as well as the pc that I have my Visor's cradle attached to. Now when I try to network hotsync to my primary PC, the hostync operation times out during the Avantgo conduit's updating. If I "do nothing" for Avantgo (and Vindigo) the network hotsyn completes fine. A local hotsync with Avantgo also works fine. Anyone else have this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Check your sync log and if you see error (6410) when you have the timeouts, try the Palm hotsync updater. That should fix the problem.

the Palm updater doesn't work with Handspring desktop 4.01. any other ideas? anyone?

I often have problems syncing to Avantgo -- and I use two desktops. I find that deleting the temp files -- using disk cleanup and rebooting takes care of the problem.

Should also mention that I get double Avantgpo entries when I switch machines---
but all I have to do is acess Avantgo and then double entries disappear.

This is not an actual double entry --only in Ram usage--again it is ereased when I acess Avantgo the first time.
