I have to say, that is one hideous thing, plus it has too many moving parts.
It'll flop gloriously.
Hopefully sharp will bring their latest Japanese phone it's very nice form factor. ((slide fan, like V60)

PurpleX,
Do you have a link to any pics of this Sharp phone?
I'd love to see what it looks like.
Thanks
quote:Yeah I have a weird sense of humor. Sorry not to reply sooner to your request about other kinds of photos. I lost track of the bb and this subject. I'll be working on that as soon as I get a chance and get back to you. I think I know what kinds of shots you need to get a fair idea of what the camera can do. I can say that it takes photos in regular room light (60 watt flourescent light bulb) just fine without too much noise. But I've been having a lot of trouble getting good photos of peoples' faces if they are outdoors and standing more than 10 feet away. Faces are fuzzy and indistinct. Similar to the fuzziness I'm seeing on some 600's photos I saw here. Close-ups are fine but messed up by barrel distortion from the wide-angle lens. Best thing to do is have a person slightly tilt the head down and look up. Otherwise nose and cheekbones appear unnaturally wide in relation to forehead and chin. That tip should work out for the Treo 600, too. It appears to also have a wide-angle lens. Those are pretty rough on peoples' faces. TTYL.

quote:Hmm...According to someone who's posted on this forum several times, the Treo 600 can be had for free in the UK with the right contract.

Well SPV2 is announced today, it will start selling mid november at 249.
It would be interesting to see if SPV2 will sell more than treo600 or not. It's about half the European price of treo600.
