Death By Visor

I have a VDX and synch at both home and work. Last week I started getting default errors when I synched on my machine at work. Shortly thereafter Outlook 2000 stopped working on my machine at home.

I uninstalled all my Handspring software, reinstalled it -- same problem. I uninstalled my Office 2000 and reinstalled the entire suite...same problem. I finally douched my visor (hard reset) and still, the same problems. The only constant is the operating system (Windows ME) which ran everything just fine until about a week ago. There have been no apps that I have added to either the VDX or the computers.

Before I wipe the hard disks on two machines and begin from scratch, can anyone think of what in the name of god is going on? I have intercepted and deactivated a couple of viruses; in each case McAffee and Norton allegedly nuetralized the threat.

I've done all the basics...cabling, batteries, etc. And when you consider the hard reset my VDX is now virginal. Where could the issue be?
