Just purchase the backup Springboard module and if left in my visor dlx starts flipping between apps etc. If you move the or rotate the visor in your hand it also starts flipping the programs on and off. If you shut off the visor with the backup module in the slot the visor will start back up on it's own when moved or just sitting there.
What is the deal with this. Bad backup cartridge or something with my springboard slot. Got the Visor 1 week ago from Staples and haven't had a problem at all. Also works just fine with the backup module out. I take it the backup module should not be left in when not backing up although the cartridge looks built to be left in.
Any one know what's going on here?

If you have the Backup Module in when you turn the Visor on, the Backup application will automatically boot up. You should take the springboard out if you do not want to be dropped into the Backup application every time you turn on your Visor.. BUT If your Visor is just turning on BY ITSELF, then it's a bad Backup Module, or bad springboard slot.. Try exchanging the Backup module for another one..

I leave the module often in the Visor and have had no problems. Yes, sometimes the first program you get coming on the screen is the module, esp after a reboot, but no big deal. It doesn't hurt anything, I ignore it and move along.

I leave my backup module in all the time, and back up several times a week. I've never had the problems you talk about. Yes, when I reset, the backup module comes on first. I simply ignore it. Otherwise, the only problem is when I search the database list using LaunchEm and the backup module is inserted, it freezes. So I use the native PalmOS database list instead.

Sorry about the triple post! Made a mistake. (Obviously.)
Figure you might want to know what has happened since I found the problem with the backup module.
Looks like it was the Visor. I checked out another new backup module and it did the same thing in my original Visor. We then put the backup module in a new visor and everything worked fine. They exchanged the visor. Looks like it was a defective unit. So far it is working just fine with the backup in or out.
Sure glad I picked up the backup module as I only had 2 day's left for an exchange or refund.
