Question

Has anyone been able to directly address more than 8 megs of RAM with their Platinum/Prism? I understand that these devices overcome the 8 meg limitation of the other Palm devices due to their more advanced CPU's. Any ideas/suggestions?

Some company in Japan (and another in Hong Kong) was doing it...do a search on this forum for "16mb prism"...

However, I don't think the method is common knowledge yet. I was looking for someone with an upgraded unit, but have not been able to get any pictures of the upgraded board. To answer your question, the OS and Processor will now address 16mb onboard.

Regards,
M.

I read the Japenese groups,

"Visor Prism Է֤ 16MB (2000.12.26)
1223աVisor Prism Է֤ 16MB ˳ɹޤ

혤Ǥޤ 8MB DRAM ȡ⤷ 16MB DRAM HM5113165LTD6 ȡ긶ޤǡPrism 16MB ˤʤޤ

ʤ줹ϤϡԼ؟ΤǤޤ"

It say that u can just replace the 8M ram with Hitachi HM5113165LTD6,it will be done.
