Question

I can access the discussion pages, but trying to view the first couple of news stories today or the FAQ just takes me back to the home page. Is it just me?

A lot of the pages on this site relies on your browser informing the server about what pages you are looking at in the header field.

Some really old browsers (2.x version) and certain proxy servers doesn't support this features. What setup are you using?

Unhappy seems to be the browser

Yesterday, and initially today, I used Netscape Communicator 4.7 for Mac. Same problem. I then tried it using IE 4.5 and could use the links.

I usually use the Netscape, and have viewed links from that list before ("What are you doing?" most recently), but not now. I haven't changed any settings on the browser.

I'll just chalk it up to one of those browser glitches. Thanks for the input, all.

It still doesn't work? I've been using Netscape 4.7.3 for the Mac for some time now and haven't had any of those problems. Maybe you should re-install it?

This is what happens: I click on a link, such as "Adjust the Prism's contrast" which is
http://www.visorcentral.com/page/0-2-844-2.htm, and can see the URL in the Location field. But before the page can load, it reverts to http://www.visorcentral.com/ and thus reloads the home page.

Everything worked fine until Tuesday, and I didn't change anything, so go figure. I'll just view it with IE.

N4.7 is what was preloaded on my Mac when I got it last year, and I haven't updated it. So far this is the only site where I've noticed the problem, but I haven't been doing much other surfing, so can't say if it is happening with regularity.

And I'm hitting the hay now! I'll experiment more tomorrow.

Started working ok for me either late Thursday or on Friday, if anyone's interested - same browser, etc. Praise the computer gods, or whatever. ;-)
