Question

Hey gang, I'm thinking about getting an Edge to replace my VDX and was wondering. If I backed up my VDX before selling it and restored to the Edge, would it work ok? My concerns are the different OS versions and the various things that would accompany that, such as preferences parameters being different, my having the HS patch installed on the VDX, etc. Has anyone tried to do this yet? Thanks!

Dave

My only suggestion would be to remove any software updates you installed on the VDX before doing the upgrade.

How?

I tried to delete the HS 103 update one time before back up on the module for similar reasons, but it was "in use" and wouldn't let me. Can I bypass this in use state with that trick of reseting with the up button pushed (or something like that I think).

That's exactly the trick. Delete the files you don't want on there and do another soft reset (nothing pressed).
