What is the best method for converting Word/Excel files in order to store/access them on my Palm?

I've tried messing around with Pedit, but so far I haven't been able to find any converter/reader for microsoft docs.

I'll define "best" as most transparent to the user. With that in mind, I'd recommend QuickSheet for Excel. InstallBuddy is your best bet for Word. For the limitations of InstallBuddy with Word, see http://www.backupbuddy.com/ib/prod_...dy_plugins.html

If you can afford to wait, you might want to see what happens with the upcoming version of Documents To Go by DataViz ( http://www.dataviz.com ).

MiniCalc for Excel

I've tried several Visor spreadsheets, but I'm happiest with MiniCalc [currently Ver 4.5].
- when you install it, it puts an Add-on & a main menu choice in Excel.
- Just create your worksheet [actually, I usually create mini-sheets w. summary data]. Select MiniCalc\Export Data and it sends a Visor-ready sheet to the desktop where it waits for the next Sync to load on the PDA. What could be simpler?
- I've found that conversions are pretty accurate, most formatting goes across cleanly. Watch your colors, of course, since color to B/W mapping sometimes gets weird on any computer.
