Got my blue vdx up and running. works great so far. (replaces my former PalmPilotPro which I lost in a cab six months ago).
Palm had a travel serial connector that eliminated the big cradle-- just a pin connector for the palm, a shorter (say 12") cable, and the serial connector for the computer. That was what I used for travel.
I'd rather not lug around the big HandSpring cradle on trips- takes up a lot of unnecessary space.
Any ideas on a travel synching cable? Unfortunately, I need serial, since I have Win95.
Or can I go totally cable-free; is there a way to synch with the IR port?
Thanks in advance, this is a great forum.

At this point in time, there is nothing available.
However, on the main VisorCentral page, it suggests we give Handspring feedback on this issue. I need a Serial cable for other means, but I know you and I would both love one.
In the feedback section of Handspring's site, submit a request for the serial cable, not crade. Maybe if enough people respond, we will get one...

For 20 dollars there is a travel cord for sale on visors accesory page. I think they just added it recently to the site.

Pat,
If you mean the 'Visor USB HotSync Cable'
note that srwdc1 is using win95 and has to ues a serial connection and not a USB one..
I think more people would like to see a serial travel cable....basically everybody who ordered a serial cradle and wants/needs something less bulky...
