I just bought a Handspring Modem. I just want to dial into my G4 mac using its internal modem and do a hotsync. I cannot make the Mac pick up the phone though! Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm leaving for DC tomorrow and won't be able to sync for a week if I dont get this working! Any help will be appreciated!

Better but still not there

Ok, so now the Mac is picking up the phone but the Hotsync won't run! The Mac doesn't have my modem setting in its list of modems. I have tried the Hayes compatible and the custom modem setting with a couple different init strings with the same result. I am running Mac OS 9.04, HotSync Manager 2.61 and Palm OS 3.1h3.

I'm stupid

OK, I"m stupid, I called HS support. They told me to reset the visor and call back after trying again. I thought to myself "that will never work." Guess what, it did. I should have remembered my 9th grade algebra teacher: "Keep it simple, stupid"
