May I quote:

Sign our email list and be the first to know when Visor is shipping......

No further comment needed.

That's my feeling entirely. I ordered my Visor on the 14th. That now sounds like the first statement to a support group meeting...Hi, my name is foo fighter...and I ordered my Visor on the 14th...HI FOO FIGHTER!

I believe they lost my order. I don't think I'll ever get an e-mail notification.

Did anyone, who ordered a Visor about the same time as me, get a notification?

I ordered on 9/14 and I haven't gotten a confirmation email either.

I finally couldn't take it anymore and sent an email to customer support and they swore that my order wasn't lost. (Little help since I still didn't get a confirmation number.) I also requested that a Serial cradle be added to my order since I use Windows/NT and again they said no problem. Hope so ...

Interestingly enough the visorinsider site says that the units ordered during the first 2 days have already been shipped. Who knows?

Of course it does. Any sane person would be calling Handspring at least once a day to check on their order, and spending the rest of their time combing the net for rumors. (And starting a few, just for fun.)

P.S. I got my Visor this morning ... but no email confirmation yet, damn it.

Bearpaw,

Did you really get your Visor this morning or is that one of your rumors?

I'm going to just ASSUME Bearpaw was pulling our collective leg with his last post. For my part, I would be VERY surprised to get an e-mail confirmation before I get my Visor--should I say IF I get my Visor. I think the process of getting the product in the shipping channel is easier than getting all the e-mail confirmations out. And, who's going to complain if they get their Visor before they get their confirmation. That ain't going to happen.
So, I spend my time with an eye on the door (for the UPS guy) rather than on my e-mail program.

One man's opinion.

I'm going to hazard a guess that Bearpaw did get his Visor this morning and would not be at all surprised if he did not recieve the email confirmation.

Bearpaw: what area of the country do you live in? I'm only curious because I wanted to see how long it took to get to you and use the information to judge travel time to me (in S. Texas). Also, did you use regular mail or did opt for the express shipment? Thanks.

He probably lives in a tent in the backyard of the warehouse.

Sorry genties and ladlemen, I guess I was a little too subtle. I did *not* receive my Visor yet.

People who are ordering now seem to be missing one point... If you order on-line, then the confirmation is automatic.

Those of us who ordered over the phone are supposed to be receiving what I can only assume is a non-automated confirmation.

Has anyone who's received a confirmation ordered using the phone?

Check your credit card statement. I am sure they will bill your card when it ships... Then again, maybe they'll have billing problems like their email and website.

Free visor's for everyone!!!

I doubt we'll ever get our email confirmations. We're all screwed.

If I do get one, I swear to god I'll send President Clinton a box of Cuban cigars!

I just checked out the new Handspring site. There is some semi-fine print that says, "If you've already reserved your Visor over the phone, check your inbox for an order confirmation email in the next week. Thanks again for your order!"

*countdown beginning*

OK, then, those of you who were on the ball and reserved yours on or close to the 14th...if what Visorinsider says is true then yours may have already shipped or at least been processed for shipping...so you should be able to call your credit card company and see if your card has been charged yet.

Anyone willing to try the experiment?
