Hi,

Im looking for a program that will allow me to set/change the hotsync name of my visor without having to hotsync and set the name that way.

You just missed a thread in this section about changing the name and the mentioning of PalmName.

Go over to Palmgear.com and download PalmName. Although you will need to invoke a HotSync or similar action (like PInstall) to install the file on your Visor.

But once on your Visor, PalmName will allow you to change the HotSync name.

Perfect, now Ill let you in on what I planned.

When I was out of town, my Deluxe hard reset itself somehow and I lost everything on it, and I don't have the money for a backup module. But what I can do is I set my always on cablemodem to allow me to hotsync over the net.

So now if it happens again I can run palmname (I will be putting it on the flashrom of my modem) set my hotsync name and then hotsync over the net to my home system, restoring all my files.

Now I just need a backup module
