My order finally changed to "shipped" today. Can't wait. Looking forward to more reviews by the masses as more are shipping.

Can someone tell me where they're shipping from? I'm in NYC -- and hoping I can get mine before I take a trip on Monday.

how do you find order number?

is it the last 4 digits of your confirmation number? if so my number is in the 1600's and based on other post should have been shipped. should I call them?

Cool

I don't think the confirmation number has anything to do with the order number. I called Innogear, gave them my confirmation number and they told me what my order number was. The two were unrelated. Apparently, the order number appears on that snail-mail letter they sent out to let us know that the deliveries were delayed. I threw mine out, so I had to get my order number via telephone.

No problems

I've had no problems, I love mine, works great, (and someone asked about the bass, the bass kicks in my truck!)

Mine was shipped from Gilroy, CA
(or at least thats whats sticker on minijam's shipping box)

I have found that even though the transfer speed isn't up the the soundsgood's speed, (at least for now till the USB speedloader is out !!! JOY!!), that by the time I have found the next song I want to load, the current song has finished loading.. I don't make my playlists ahead of time, I try out a song in winamp, play it for a few secs, then decide (all the while the previous song is transferring to the minijam).. This method seems to work well..

got it today

I got my minijam today (order # in the 1400's), it took ups a full 7 days to get it to Michigan.

So far so good, I like it. The sound I think is a little better than other mp3 players I have tried, especially with my ANC headphones.

The transfer speed to get mp3's on the unit is painfully slow, but thankfully my machine doesn't seem to phased and is happy to multitask it.

I wish when you plugged in the module the software would put itself back in the tab I set up for it in Laucher III.

The size is no big deal, it's really small. It fits really tight in the case they provided with it. Battery drain is considerable.

According to UPS tracking, mine shipped on 9/21, but won't reach midtown Manhattan until 9/29
I'm glad I didn't pay the additional $30 for next day delivery when I ordered it in July. If I had, I'd be paying $30 more to receive it in 71 days instead of 78 days! That woulda hurt!

swendor, mine shipped on 9/21 as well, and I got it yesterday. I live down by Cape Cod. You should definitely have it soon. Did you check the UPS tracking number?

BTW, I love this thing. I had about 10 people ask me what it was on the train today to and from work (Boston). I was reading the 'Continuing Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' on my Peanut Reader while multitasking some vintage Aerosmith... They thought it was really cool. A few were Palm owners who hadn't even heard of Handspring. A fellow employee even tugged on the back of his palm III to see if could remove the place where the springboard goes... funny stuff...

It sounds great, but I'm definitely getting some nice digital earphones though.

Terry, UPS messed up and gave my minijam the same UPS tracking number as somebody else's minijam who lived in Marco Island, FL. By any wild chance is that you? It also shipped last Thursday. When looking at the tracking, I freaked and saw it being logged into shipping centers in CA, TX, IL, MA, FL.... The destinataion was defined as Marco... thought it might be you!

Mine is here -- at last. It was scheduled for delivery today, but showed up yesterday. I love it. The sound quality is phenomenal and transferring files is very simple.
I'd love another 64 MB card, but I assume I'll have to settle for a 32 as James' review states that the 64's are not yet available outside OEMs. Is that so? Will Innogear eventually sell them?

It's here! It's here!

Finally! My MiniJam arrived today and I am really amazed. It sounds great and transferring files is a snap. Good bass and treble response. I thought the sound with the supplied ear buds was good until I plugged in a regular ear covering set. The quality and reproduction was even better. Overall the unit sounds better than my Aiwa Personal stereo.

The carrying case is better than I expected--nicely padded (protection remains to be seen as the top of the MiniJam is exposed), two different ways to carry it and a pouch for another module. There is a hoop which allows you to slip your belt through and a clip that you can clip onto your belt loop. I don't think I'll use that option too often as it seems it may swing a little too much for my tastes.

Did anyone else listen to the songs that came with it? Some I liked, but others are crap.

The only thing I had trouble with is turning it on after shutting it down. It plays the song (the counter counts) but I can't hear the music. I have to stop the song currently playing and then start it again before I hear music. Anyone else have this problem?

I things I disliked: No confirmation before deleting songs.
Song titles scroll too slowly.

In "Button Preferences" the "<<" button goes to the previous track when pressed but in the hold column it is mis-labled as "Forward" although it rewinds the track. The reverse is true for the ">>" button--Press to go to the next track but in the hold column it says "Rewind." I tried to switch them but got the opposite function when using the hardware buttons. These are mis-labeled.

What would improve it: Having the unit shut down when the headphones are removed. There are some personal stereos that will not play if there are no headphones are plugged in.

Overall, I love my MiniJam. It really is a great product and well worth the wait! Now if they can get the file storage together I, and others will love it even more.

A few things I would like to see...

1.) A stouter case. Since it is such a tight fit, the seams on the side already split, and I had to sew it back together. I'm back to using the leather slipper case that came with the visor. I'll only use it for yard work, like mowing... The Handspring case fits better anyway.

2.) Random or Shuffle play of songs. I always use this feature on my home system.

3.) If #2 can't be done, ability to change the order of playback on the fly. I don't want to have to upload another playlist for the same song, just to be able to listen to them in a different order.
