I received my Ti slider case from Rhinoskin yesterday. As described on their website, it is a very well built case that is sure to provide excellent protection for the Visor from knocks, bumps or drops. But it has one important shortcoming. This is the manner in which the Visor is held in the case - there is no retaining mechanism other than the neoprene lining. After taking the Visor out to Hotsync a few times, it no longer is securely held by the neoprene lining - it drops out when the case is inverted.
On calling their customer support line, I was told that this was a problem that they were aware of, and that it was a result of the tapered shape of the Visor. It does not appear that they are thinking of adding any additional/alternative retaining mechanism.

I too recieved my Ti Slider case, and I'm very impressed, but there is one shortcoming that I have noticed, It is pretty much a III Slider case with customized lining, you can tell becuase there is an opening on top for the III's infrared port, and non on the side for the visor. The other thing, its expensive...very...I think its worth it. I havent gotten much use out of it yet, as my visor deluxe came DOA with a broken screen. I opted for overnight replacement, (on monday) but for some reason it didnt ship, so now i've been told that i should recieve it no later than friday...free of charge. A nice bonus, and showing that at least they are trying to build faith with their customers. From what I can tell, it is a great case, very supportive, and easy to hold. I'll let you know how well the visor stays in it after a while. Thats it for now. Wish me luck!

mg: What do you think securing the Visor to the case by velcro on the back?

I am considering the Ti case, but I had the same concern that you voiced. I wrote to RhinoSkin to ask how the unit was retained in the case while open, but I was told that it's held in the same way that Palms are held in the other slider cases. I could only take that statement to mean that isn't anything really retaining the Visor. (I had the original Ti case for the PP, and with that case you couldn't shake out the PP even if you wanted to. I was disappointed to learn that this feature was omitted with the design change of the slider.)

I've had the Ti Slider for Visor for a few days now. I share the same concerns raised by the others.

However, I don't think there was much they could do with the IR port being located where it is.

I think a more significant problem with the case is that there is absolutley no room for a springboard that is larger than the place-holder that comes with each Visor.

For example, I doubt that a visor with the 6-pack would fit in case..

However, when all is said and done, I love this case. It looks great, feels great, and I doubt there is better protection.

I think I'll try selling the case once I decide on a sprinboard to purchase. Hopefull, Rhinoskin will come up with some solutions by then.

As far as Velcro goes ... that is actually a great idea. There may be some problem though when you try to hotsynch. the velco may interfere with how the visor fits in the cradle.

Hey Visory, if and when you decide to sell your Ti case, let me know. I might be interested. You can email me (my address isn't hidden.)

Thanks.

I stuck my Visor into the cradle to see how much room there is between the Springboard slot and the cradle. You folks might be glad to know that there is enough room to stick a piece of velcro there without running the risk of obstructing cradle use.

I emailed Rhinoskin approximately 2 weeks ago and they emailed back informing me that they are currently designing a custom Visor case with the proper IR hole, etc. It will be available in (at the time of the email) 6 weeks.
I wonder if they're having trouble getting a visor and hence can't design a case yet!
