Unhappy

My prism (or cradle) started making a nasty whistling sound while charging. Does anyone else do that or did mine just start?

After having my PalmIII for a while it started doing that to, at first I thought it was just cause it was real quite and I hadn't noticed before but it was audible in louder envirments to. I think it was comeing from my processor. Anyway, I called palm and they sent me a new one.

Wink

Actually, they whistle because they don't know the words.

Nope, they HUM if they don't know the words. If it's whistling, it's probably because you have AvantGo and your MobileLink Conduit just downloaded a picture of Elizabeth Hurley sporting her red PalmVx from the bedazzled website.

Lightbulb

Could I talk anyone into listening to their prism real close while it's charging to see if it makes sounds? I hear it best when my computer is not running and there's very little background noise (of course). Just wondering if my ears are just sensitive to whatever noise it's making (my friend can't hear it).

Thanks,
Randy

Talking

i just had this vision of a bunch of you turning down the tv and radio, telling your significant other to 'be quiet, please' and locking the dog in the other room. THEN leaning REALLLL close to your prism in the cradle (which would make a great song title...'Prism in the cradle').

Great picture!

All of them whistle a little. My cell fone does that to and my gameboy. If it's enough to disturb you though, then somthing is wrong. You should call handspring.

"And the Prism's in the cradle by the silver Platinum..."

I don't hear anything. As long as it's charging and the whistling's not scaring off dogs you should be ok.

Smile

Thanks to everyone that "listened" to their Prism. I guess I won't worry about it then. If the thing ever starts to laugh at me though, it's outta here.
