Talking

Looking for the perfect case for your VDX plus a few accessories? How about one for under $20 with tax? I just bought an official "Nintendo GameBoy Color Travel Case" made by A.L.S. Industries Inc., model GB60. It's an ingenious design that happens to work perfectly well for my VDX as well. The VDX goes in a side-facing pocket with its own secure velcro flap, kept snug but not too tight in its leather slipcase as well. What's really nice is there is no pressure on the screen at all, and you can use the hard case to protect instead of hold it in. The top of the case holds the game cartridges, er., Springboard Modules. It looks like it could hold 6 regular-size all together, or 4 if you use the optional GameBoy GamePack cases that have been discussed elsewhere(and still keep the whole price under $20.) I have my Backup Module in a case, plus my eyemodule in its little bag, and a spare set of batteries to boot. The front pocket holds my Stowaway keyboard perfectly, and the top flap has a zipper pocket with room for business cards and extra styli. It seems pretty padded, though I'm not willing to test that assumption.

Plus, it's all black with no Pokmon, etc., just small color lettering that says "GameBoy Color" I always describe my VDX as a GameBoy for adults to people who have no clue what a Palm Pilot is, so I appreciate the irony. With the money I saved, I'm that much closer to a Thinmodem+ or a SoundsGood!

Fred Meyer. It's not a house brand, so hopefully it's available at other places too. Maybe online, but I haven't checked...

Lightbulb Gameboy case

I saw a black nylon Gameboy case at Target - for $12.99. It is slightly large for my taste but well padded and has compartments. It could easily hold a Visor, Stowaway, modules, batteries, pen, styli, etc.

Lightbulb another case idea

i bought a nylon digital camera case by Ambico at best buy. It holds my prism in the main compartment and my springboards (in gameboy cases) in the outer pocket. It isn't too bulky and has a snap together belt loop/carrying strap. It is pretty low profile, but carries my prism, modem, and springboards. It cost about 12 bucks.

Yeah, I have a samsonite camera case for my digital camera. it works pretty well for my VDX, minijam, and matchbookdrive but my digital camera loses it's case so my visor needs one of it's own.

Thumbs up

I've used this exact case for a Gameboy Color I used to own. You can get them at Wal-Mart for about $15. They are very well padded.
