Eyemodule 1 vs. 2

I have been kicking the idea of buying an Eyemodule off of eBay. Both the Eyemodule 1 and 2 offer the same crappy 640x480 resolution. Is there an appreciable difference in the hardware, or does the version 2 simply confer a software upgrade? I only want the thing as a backup--something I can keep in the glove compartment for the hell of it. I have a 3.1 MP camera already.

the Em1 doesn't have 640x480 resolution. The 2 will do minimovies as well, 10 seconds I think.

I find the eyemodule 2 to be much better then the eyemodule. I have both. They are both equally cool but it is easier to take pictures with eyemodule 2 because of the angle it's not totally straight it's a bit angled. Eyemodule lacks movie mode which is okay but takes up alot of memory even more in color devices. Let me explain. I had an edge before the prism and pictures would take up 8k at 160 by 160, vga 480 by 640 would take up 100k, and a 5 second movie would take up around 600k. With my prism pictures would take up 30k at 160 by 160, vga 480 by 640 would take up 100k, and a 5 second movie would take up around 1.2mb. The difference in size is that if you have the prism you are able to take color 160 by 160 pictures and color movies, but you cannot go back to greyscale. The amount of movie times depends on the amount of memory you have in both color and greyscale mode. You can limit the movie time but you don't have to it is on by default however and you can turn it off. I hope this helps.
