Angry How do your sync with Win XP?

Started experimenting with Win XP last night and found that it would not recognize the Handspring USB cradle with the newly relaesed Palm 4 desktop. Has anyone found a solution for syncing through Win XP? Handspring's web site was no help, they will not provide a solution (or even suggest a work-around) until Win XP is formally released.

I had the same problem with USB, so I got a serial cable.
Its alot slower than USB, but atleast I can sync again.

I have RC2 on my laptop and I've been syncing infrared. I know it's slow but it works when I'm on the road. Haven't tried USB or Serial.

The best way to sink Windows XP is with lead weights and deep water.

try updating the driver

Try this...

1. Install the Palm Desktop 4.01h.
2. Try a hotsync, probably no connection showing nor a hotsync dialogue.
3. While the your Visor is trying to make a connection, right click on my computer, select the hardware tab, then device manager. You will most likely see a Handspring USB device with an exclamation point next to it.
4. Right click on it, select update driver.
5. When the update driver dialogue box appears, select the advanced option.
6. Select the browse option from this dialoge, then select this directory C:\ProgramFiles\Handspring\Drivers.
7 Follow the rest of the dialogue and this should work.

Good Luck!
