Wink

Is there I way to do this, I saw some blurb about something similar in an article, and was wondering if there was software that would allow you to modualte the iR pulses to act as a electronics remote.

Just something to do

Mike

Thumbs down

Be advised that you will need to hold your handheld very close to the device you want to operate. And I guess that's kind of a bad thing in a remote, isn't it?

Reports on that seem varied. Some people need to hold their Visor within six inches, while other can do it from eighteen feet. Something is going on, here.

Note that there are no release versions of OmniRemote that work with the Visor. Their beta apparently does though.

Victor,
I tried OmnoRemote1.5 and it works using my visor from across my room about 13 feet without trouble, also same thing with our second visor, she loves to give me trouble watching TV, hehe

Eug,
OmniRemote 1.5 is no longer beta. I tried the beta and it was good only until December 1st, I emailed them after the 1st too find out when the real version will be available and they promptly replyed that 1.5 is now for sale as the full version made for the visor.

Question

I've heard (?) that the range you get depoends on the frequency you recorded at from the remote. not sure if higher or lower gives you more range..
