Yes. the MiniJam comes with drivers and desktop software for the Mac, unlike the SoundsGood module.

I just found out that I need to use Windows emulation software on my Mac to get the Minijam software to work. This doesn't sound like "Mac Compatible" to me. Has anyone else heard this? If this is the case, then it sounds like SoundsGood could make the same claim -- since emulation software would allow you to use their Windows-only software just like Innogear. Doesn't this make the two equal on the Mac front?

Thumbs up MiniJam DOES support MAC - NO EMULATION

The MiniJam WORKS JUST FINE on my iMac with MacOS 9. USB transfer works with their "MiniJam Browser" MAC application (can be found on their CD).
No Windows crap necessary.

Good InnoGear, Bad "Good"!

Angry Problems-Mac/Minijam

I am having problems, haven't been able to move any MP3s over to my visor. I'm using Mac OS 8.6.1, and I don't think I should need to be using OS9...?

I put the extension in the extensions folder, rebooted, put the visor in the cradle, launched "MiniLoader", it looks like it's trying to connect, then launched "MiniJam Browser" on the desktop... and the browser still says "Visor Disconnected"... anyone know what to do about this? Frustrating...

Thumbs up MacOS 9

I got it to work on a 8.6 at work, too. Make sure you disable HotSync...

Let me know if it works.

Disable HotSync? Where does it say to do this, so i know I'm doing it right. Or, how should I do this?

Thanks for the help!

does minijam work with mac os?

Could someone using a Minijam with Mac OS 9 please post specific instructions? The documentation that comes on the disc is not helpful at all, there is no support on Innogear's website, and after I downloaded Music Match, their docs claim they only support a couple of portable systems at this time.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

I too have had no luck whatsoever with my mac...

I worked with it for a couple hours this morning,
trying a variety of soft reset/reboot/turn
off hotsync/ etc., but to no avail. I even tried
downloading the new musicmatch Mac software,
but it refuses to recognize the connection as well.

I wasn't surprised that I couldn't get it to work;
I half expected it--heck, i have to do a soft reset
*everytime* I try to do a hotsync operation.

If anyone comes up with some info on how to get
this working properly, please post.

MJ Browser works with Mac now

There is an updated version of the MiniJam
browser, v. 1.0b13, that now works with
my Mac.

I saw this posted on another board, but
could find no trace of it on the Innogear
website. I had to email their support staff
and ask about it, and then they sent me
the update. Go figure.
