New handcam - image resolution/color question

I just got my new handcam, and have been playing around with it. I have a quick question. From a comparison chart that was posted here a while ago, it had appeared that you could take both full size and "palm sized" images, both in color and b&w. However, when I just downloaded some images, the full size images were in color, the palm sized images were in b&w. Is this the way it works, or is there some setting I am overlooking? I am using a visor deluxe, so perhaps it only saves the visor images in b&w since I can't see them in color? (Although I don't know how it would "know" that)

Basically, I want to know if you can take both size images in color and b&w, and if so, how do I change that setting.
