Lightbulb

Ha anyone tried the new program that lets you e-mail your eye module pics? Looks very interesting, but haven't had time to take a look.

Wink What Marcy said!

Just chiming in here (with my AOL voice) to say, "Me too!"

My coworker is the only eyemodule user in my office who does e-mail from his Palm, but I'm actually interested in any application that does things with eyemodule pictures... Easing transfer and sharing (i.e. syncing directly to an online gallery through a photo service like Clubphoto.com!).

I know someone was trying to engineer a way to use eyecontact on a device without the eyemodule for example. It would seem to be a simple idea. Why can't images be edited and put back on the device for the contact, for example?

I'm trying to start an eyemodule user group on the 'net because I just know there have to be tons of folks out there just giddy with the things this simple little gadget can do. I'm not much of a database hacker, but I do like learning stuff. (And of course there's the eyemodule 2 to gossip about now!)

Anyone can join by sending an e-mail to [email protected], or by visiting my fledgling gallery below!

Great

This sounds great, always seemed weird about the concept of taking pitures on your Visor, but now it makes sense if you can email them... imagine what you can do with that!

Thumbs up Mailing Eyemodule pics (EyeMail)

I am an eyemodule owner and have been using it quite a bit since I purchased it. There are two new apps that have come out recently that have made a lot of sense. First, EyeContact has given me the ability to attach an Eyemodule image to my contact list and now EyeMail lets you e-mail images without hotsyncing. Both work great and now my only dilema is what to do when Eyemodule 2 comes out! Has anyone heard what's up with that? All I've seen is the preorder info.

Emailing photos!

That sounds great.. so when your out of town and want to keep in touch with the family you can take pictures of yourself and email them to your kids or visa versa!

Wow ... I think I will need to buy, when is the Eyemodule 2 coming out?

Does anyone know if this software enables you to e-mail wirelessly directly from your visor? I use eudora and have a Yahoo account. I don't know if it accepts attachments or not. Or does this software send the pic as an attachment?

Thumbs up Images as Attachments?

I shouldn't really be answering your question, as I don't use the e-mail utility mentioned above nor a modem, but I suspect that either they are sent as attachments - or else how could they say you can 'share' images with non-Visor using, only-mail-reading friends?

Also, I just got a neat note from a guy who uses his eyemodule and a modem (both wired and wireless) to update a website automatically - and I presume that can only be done if the image is encoded as an attachment:

OK, I've tried the demo- If you use a different mail server and ISP on your visor- forget it. I use MSN to dial in using my cell phone and have a yahoo account i access through eudora. It appears you can't e-mail through yahoo if you are using another server to be on-line. As far as I know, you still can't use your MSN mail on a visor. So it looks like I'm out of luck!! I have contacted the developer who is working on it....
