Question

I notice that there are two Visor books out, the "Dummies" series and, "I Didn't Know You Could Do That With a Visor." Has anyone see either of these? For what level are they written? Have they been helpful? Don't I remember that James had something to do with the dummies book?

Inquiring minds...

Doesn't this just scream "Ebook".

I know that I would be interested in the what else I can do with a Visor. However, Visor for Dummies is up there with MacIntosh for Dummies. If you can't figure it out by yourself, you probably can read all the big words in the book anyhow.

James was the Technical Editor for the "I Didn't Know..." book.

As true as this might be, everyone in my family has a VDX, but I'm the only one who really knows how to use one! I'm hopeful one of these books might be a "gentle nudge" in helping them along.

Talking

You're right about that, Vox! Of the several Visor (and Palm) owners I know, very few do anything beyond a couple functions. Not that we Visorheads are any smarter or anything, just more interested (I'm trying to be politically correct here!).

Don't try to be politically correct, were just going to have to face the facts that Visorheads are smarter than Palm users.

I was given a copy of the Visor for Dummies book ( I work in the Publishing industry) and ended up giving it away because it did not give any useful info. Looks like they just copied the Palm Computing for Dummies book and just replaced the world Palm for Visor. Plus you don't get a CD with the Visor book. If your going to buy a PDA book pick up a book called:

How to Do Everything With Your Palm Handheld
By: Dave Johnson/Rick Broida
Publisher: Osborne

This book covers everthing from the Palm to Handspring to TRG, and is really informative.
