HotSync failures

Every time I hotsync, I get the dreaded illegal operation error message. In years of use of a Palm and then a Visor, I have never encountered this problem. How do I go about fixing it? May or may not be, but the last installation of software was an upgrade to Norton SystemWorks 2002. Any known incompatibility there?

I've seen SystemWorks cause some strange problems. Try disabling it and see if you still get the error. If that doesn't do it, maybe you could be a little more specific about the error.

I have just re-installed the software and it appears to have cured the problem.
