Unhappy

My VDx bit the dust this weekend while on a trip. Previously, I had one program that was causing fatal exceptions, so I promptly deleted that. The next day, I picked it up and there was geometrical garbage gibberish on my screen. Then I got the Palm screen which flashed, faded, and streaked. Cold, warm, and hard resets did not work. I removed the batteries for an hour and that seemed to work, although I lost all data.

1. Does anyone have a clue the root of the problem? I don't want to repeat this.

Last night, I backed up data from my computer. Now all dates in my DateBk are shifted one day earlier.

2. Does anyone know why?
3. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this?

Thanks,

"I wish I'd bought a backup module" Baut

Baut, check the date that your Visor is set to: click the prefs app icon......the date set function in under the *general* pulldown menu. That's about all I can think of that would cause this problem. The data was correct on your desktop program, so an incorrect date on your Visor makes sense...

(best to eliminate the completely obvious first)

Later,
albert

That was one of the first things that I checked. Both the date on my computer and the date on my Visor are correct.

Handspring Tech Support couldn't immediately provide assistance, either.

Thx, albert.
