Question Japanese Study

12/11 Added links.

Anyone out there using their palm os pda to studyJapanese? I've managed to get a pretty slick setup but am always looking for something new. I'm currently running a Visor Platinum with a CF memplug. Other programs as follows:

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/japanese.html (Jim Breens Japanese page. Wonderful jumping off point for most anything Japanese.)

JOS IV - to view the Japanese/Chinese characters.
http://www.arkusa.com/palm/index.html (says $89.95 but on clearance for $20!! No refunds no returns.)
http://www.tt.rim.or.jp/~tatsushi/jos5/ JOS V (Japanese) I initially installed the light version before buying JOS IV.

Goraku pen - Handwritten kanji recognition shareware downloaded from a Japanese site. Mainly use this with KDIC. No more looking up kanji by radical!!
http://muchy.com/review/gokurakupen.html (Japanese download site.)

http://www.geocities.com/palmradic/ (Links to the following programs from this page - KDIC, KingKanji, and Dokusha. I used radic in conjunction with KDIC before finding Goraku pen.)

KDIC - dictionary manager. Best dictionary I've found is the Monash EJJE All. I'd love to find a professional level dictionary.

Dokusha - dictionary/reader/flashcard program all in one!! This program is a little big but it's well worth it and it's free!! I download Japanese news articles and read them with this program. Come across a word you don't know and all you have to do is tap it to select it and hit find. Most of the words are there and if not you can look up the individual kanji. Select the word as a flashcard and you have an instant study list. AWESOME.

KingKanji - comes with several premade study lists for some of the major kanji textbooks. It's not too difficult though to make your own flashcards using IME and Word 2000.

Anyone found anything else?

I haven't used my Visor to study Japanese, mostly because my (mostly unsuccessful) attempt to learn the language was in college, some 12 years ago. Stick with Japanese - I enjoyed studying it, and I really enjoyed the couple of summers I spent over there as a student.

When I was in school I used to use a Sharp Wizard (purchased in Japan) to look up kanji characters, so I can see how the setup you are describing would be useful. Maybe if I'd had a Visor back then I'd actually remember something I learned.

I keep saying I'm going to pick up my language study again, even though I wouldn't be using it professionally. I don't suppose you could post some links to the programs you mention, or email me where you found them?
