Red face

Uh-oh....
My Visor crashed yesterday (for no apparent reason - I was just using the Notepad) and repeated soft resets only bought up the PalmOS logo and then it stayed there...
So I did a hard reset... but I think I've screwed up because I forgot to set all the HotSync things to 'Desktop overwrites Handheld'. It's restored some things, like the addresses (I think it's got them all) and it restored AvantGo. It didn't restore HackMaster and some games that I'd installed though and they'd all been there a good while (ie through several HotSyncs).
Can anyone help with what may have happened (in the odd restore - not the original crash) and more importantly can anyone tell me if there's a way to go back to the backup before last since I've now sync'd the partially restored handheld and the desktop....
I'm sure someone will say 'get Backup Buddy' and I'm off there right now - hindsight's a wonderful thing...
Any help would be great
