HushHack 1.0 is a Hack that disables the Hotsync tones. After installing it on my Visor Deluxe, I found that it disables all sounds --- not just the Hotsync tones. I've informed the author.

fyi... Here's the author's response:

"Actually, HushHack was never really intended for the newer Palm models, since you can easily turn off the HotSync tones via the System Sound preference. Back in the days of the Pilot 1000 and Pilot 5000, there was no way at all to silence the "chimes", which is why HushHack was created.
Since there's little use for it on any device running OS 2.0 or higher, I'm afraid that updating it to work with them is a rather low priority.

That said, some people do seem to want to shut off only the HotSync sounds, so maybe it's time to make it shareware. "
