If anyone is interested, PenOp is offering their PocketSign digital signature software for free until November 1. This software apparently creates a legally binding digital signature that can be used on Palms/Visors.
I was going to take advantage of the offer, but in filling out the on line reg form, one of the items they ask for is serial #. As I have not yet received my Visor, I am unable to provide that. So, I emailed PenOp to ask about it. Below is their response.
"Drew,
The Palm model and serial number information is not being used to validate
your registration and is just being collected for marketing purposes.
Please feel free to register now and leave these fields with their default
values.
Whilst we expect the PocketSign to work on the Handspring devices without
any problems we have not yet obtained a sample to confirm this. The only
possible problem may be with the quality of data returned by the digitizer
built into the device. As soon as we are able to confirm it's suitability
we will include it on our list of supported devices which can be found in
our knowledgebase at <A HREF="http://www.penop.com/kbase"" TARGET=_blank>http://www.penop.com/kbase"</A>
FYI
Drew

Thanks Drewb,
Have you tried yet? I'll go capture now and see how it works.
