I currently use double A rechargeable batteries from these folks and they work GREAT in my battery draining digital camera.
Previously I could take around 40 pictures before having to throw away the standard batteries. With these I can get about 200 shots and then recharge. With two sets of these batteries I am never down.
So... Does anybody have any experience with these or other rechareable batteries in the Visor?
Thanks!

I just received my order from Thomas Distributing yesterday. After charging the AAA's overnight, I put the first set (I bought 2 sets) in the Visor this morning. I will let you know how they perform.
There have been some other threads on using NiMH's... most people seem happy with the performance. Check out the Let's Talk Batteries discussion.

I've been using rechargable AAA batteries (nexcell 650's I think) from thomas distributing for some time now and have been very pleased with them. You obviously don't get the same battery life out of them as alkalines, but the beauty of rechargables is just to pop in a second set thats already charged and then recharge the first set. Much more economical and better for the environment.

I have the same ones from Nexcell and yes they don't last quite as long as regular alkalines, but who cares? I paid $10 for 4 batteries and that was back in October. I haven't had to buy another battery since. I'll take a day or two performance hit to keep using the same batteries over and over again.
you won't be disappointed if you're still considering buying the batteries.
