i've had my orange visor for about a week now. just love the little darn thing. but i've accumulated scratches on the screen... even with the deluxe handspring styluses. it's not glaringly obvious. but i know that they're there and it just bugs me. i've got about six scratches running down the middle of the screen... i beam stuff way too much. and the graffiti area is pretty scuffed up. looks like all i've been doing is mostly o's. ^_^ i've decided to start with writewrights... but they're on back order. ::sigh::
however... is there anyway i can remove the minor scratches i already have?
i've scanned the board and i heard about a product called screen clean. one person said it doesn't really work. does anyone have more thorough info on this product or anything else?

I've been looking for an answer for that question for a long time. I'm in the same boat with you. I have a ton of scratches all over my screen especially in the grafitti area. I've heard that the stuff that takes scratches out of cd's works but I have yet to try that.

about the cd repair stuff. don't use it! the stuff you buy in BestBuy does nothing for fixing scratches on a cd. however there is this cool product which i do own... WipeOut that does fix cd scratches. it's basically a compound with plastic softeners in it that buffs out large scratches... however it scruffs the cd's plastic into a slight haze. the laser doesn't care about tiny scratches. so at least you can still use your cd. anyway. it wouldn't be much of an option for our visors.
sorry... i do love this product (the WipeOut)... but ya shouldn't use it on a visor (another product i love ^_^)

I've read somewhere after a Space Shuttle flight NASA has to polish windows to restore visibility. Perhaps there is some more technology we can gain from the space program. Maybe someone can create a buffer to attach to a Dremel tool instead?

This subject has been discussed many times before in this forum. A turtle wax polishing compound seems to be a common suggestion.
