I have a VPR that use at work with a serial cradle connected to a W2K box. I have no problems hotsyncing on it. However, when I try to hotsync on my WinME box at home using a USB cradle I get the following error log:

HotSync operation started 03/09/2001 08:58:44 PM
Mail - sync configured to Do Nothing
PocketQuicken doing nothing
OK Quicksheet - sync configured to do nothing
OK Quickword - sync configured to do nothing
Conduit 'BugMe! Messenger' Error: Unknown error. (FFFF)
Expense - sync configured to Do Nothing
Outlook Calendar - sync configured to Do Nothing
Conduit 'Outlook Contacts' Error: Unknown error. (FFFF)
Outlook Tasks - sync configured to Do Nothing
Conduit 'Outlook Notes' Error: Unknown error. (FFFF)
HotSync Error: Unknown error. (FFFF)
HotSync operation complete 03/09/2001 08:58:46 PM

I have reinstalled the desktop software a couple of times as well as attempted soft resets. However, it still does not seem to hotsync correctly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Do you have BugMe! Messenger installed on the ME box?

No, just the BugMe viewer. I didnt see anything in the BugMe Messenger zip file that I was to install on my PC. Is there something I should install?

Thanks.

Also, I just tried hotsyncing with BugMe Messenger set at "Do Nothing" and I still received all the errors for the Outlook apps.

Ok... I don't know Jack about BugMe! Messenger...

And I'm assuming you've re-installed PocketMirror after re-installing the desktop?

Also, check out this FAQ from Chapura. It appears having PocketQuicken set to Do Nothing can cause this...

Hotsync and DLL problems

I have been able to hotsync my visor via usb on winme for the past couple of weeks, but I started getting errors that stated "hotsync caused an error in mfc42.dll" and "hotsync caused an error in msvcrt.dll". I've tried extracting new copies of the files from my winME install cd, with no luck. Handspring support couldn't help. Any help would be most appriecated.
