I just bought a blue visor deluxe at my local CompUSA store and am now trying it out. The screen kind of has a rough feeling to it, it makes a scratching noise when I drag the stylus accross it. Is this normal? Thanks.

Hey.
I just picked my Blue VDX up @ Staples today too! Mine does that as well, after getting used to it -- its seems to be normal. It happens to me took, but no scratches or anything yet. I LOVE this thing! I thought my backlight was broke at first though--took some playing with to realize how to get it on and when it was actually on. Nothing like getting stares from neighbors when I'm out walking my dog with an illuminated Visor in the other hand at 9:00PM :P I look forward to being a hopefully productive member of the VisorCentral discussion group now.
This is not unusual for a new Visor. Rub the rough area with your finger for a few seconds to lubricate the rough spot with oil from your finger. Better yet, do a search on this board for "screen protection" and keep your screen scratch free.
FWIW, I recommend the buying vinyl and making your own. Again, see previous posts for how-to.
Oh, and welcome to the wonderful world of Visor!

I've heard that some new Visors come with the screen covered in dust. You should clean the screen with a cloth, before the dust causes the stylus to scratch the screen.
