Exclamation Visor Wiped Clean!!!!!!!!!

Honeymoon is over. I was so enjoying the freedom of my new wonder of technology, but the grim realities of life are rearing their ugly heads. IN SHORT: Man buys visor neo, man loves visor neo, man utilizes visor neo, man had no idea how helpful one little piece of hardware could be. (mind out of gutter please) Visor neo goes blank, I mean NOTHING. man reads of reset, pushes button, brand new visor, EVERYTHING LOST!, O.K., no problem, simply sync up to desktop and restore. Won't recognize visor. name of visor was "Darlington". that is name on desktop. This may be a really stupid question, seeing as how I had done it before but here goes. How do I put "darlington" back on visor so that desktop will recognize it and sync up? Help me Obi Wan, your my only hope!

You should be able to place the Visor in the cradle and hit the HotSync button. The Palm Desktop will prompt you for a UserName, in which case you choose one from the list or create a new one. In your situation, you should be able to choose Darlington and have everything restored to the Visor.

Good luck and please let us know if this does not work.

This is the time that you decide to buy either a backup module (or other springboard allowing backup) or Backup Buddy. Those will allow FULL restore -- no reloading all the extra software you loaded, databases all exactly as you left them before the last backup. Then you can go back to a second honeymoon.

Or both!
