Question

I have been searching for the perfect system to carry my Visor, cellphone and other stuff and decided on the e-holster system. I just ordered it last night and now my girl friend has been telling me that I shouldn't get it because she thinks I will be searched everywhere I go because people might think I am carrying a weapon. Anyone out there have any comments about this, anyone ever have any problems? I have read others say that they have had no problem but I wanted to see if anyone else has anything else to say.

Thanks

Matt

Safety First
I cannot overemphasize the importance of common sense and discretion when you're using the e-Holster. For all intents and purposes, the e-Holster looks almost exactly like a holster which holds a firearm. That said, whenever you wear this, you've to assume that the other guy thinks you're carrying a gun. You can't expect him to think that you're carrying a Palm, no matter how romantic that notion appears to you. Access to my Palm on the e-Holster was so easy that I realised that whenever I took out my Palm out from the pouch, the swift and smooth motion of my right hand reaching over to my left would be perceived by anyone watching me as an act of drawing a firearm, which has really serious consequences if you do it too dramatically. This problem will not occur if you wear a jacket over your e-Holster, but if you're not, please be careful. Also, I don't think you can wear the e-Holster in places like the airport or the bank (the FAQ on the website does mention this.)

Is it possible that someone might mistake my e-Holster system for a weapons carrying system?

Anything is possible. And it is conceivably possible that a police or security person working under extreme conditions might think that your e-holster system was for carrying a weapon. For that reason, common sense might dictate that you not wear the system in areas where high security might be a concern. With the e-holster system worn openly, only someone extremely concerned about the presence of a weapon (and, who is totally unfamiliar with the e-Holster system) might mistake your e-Holster for a weapons carrying system. It is when the e-Holster system is worn under a covering garment and an item of personal electronic equipment reached for suddenly or quickly that such a mistake might could conceivanbly be
made.

So don't wear one if you work in the white house

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

Actually, someone mentioned in one of the previous discussions about it that they had worn one through at least a few airports without incident. I tried to find out if they wore it concealed or over their shirt, but didn't receive a reply.

Personally, I love mine, and people that comment on it were commenting on my belt "holsters" before anyway, so it's not like that was anything new.

I have the E-Holster and love it. I als have worn it through an airport (Nuernburg, Germany) and it did get some curious looks from the security personnel, but I showed it to them and they looked amused. It is comfortable to wear, keeps you from getting poked with a cellular phone in the side and when worn under a jacket keeps people from knowing you have a cell phone or expensive organizer. It isn't for everyone, but I'm pleased with the purchase.
